day 6

today we gotta like evaluate internet resources so it was like, reading the resources, like a lot of reading! at least to me.

but its like re-reading the resources i had during day 4 and 5 so it wasn't so bad. i m kinda familiar with the resources already by now.

we had to go thorugh lecture 7 today! like omg! another heavy duty day.and we had to after that according to the practical evaluate the one of the resources in lecture 7. and we still had to do the template !!

oh oh! and we had to show teacher what we have done for our many pages report which i've now come to know its real name, Portfolio Interim formative something something. also a very many worded document name. i think i did it wrongly, sigh, there goes my hard work. all down the drain. but oh wells, there's still time for me to do it so i'll just try again i guess. its not that hard, right?

day 5

hmmm... today's just the part 2 of yesterday's work, i mean, you cant expect me to finish like 2 lecture stuff in just 1 day right !?!?! Thats just crazy! we had this many pages report thing we had to do so its really kinda busy here and i really think its hard! ok, challenging would sound so much nicer !

day 4

its day 4 at our holiday cds. well, i guess everything's still going on smoothly. i mean, i still understand and am not lost during the lecture.

today, we have like 2 practicals into 1! at first i was like, =_=ll .... but i realised it wasn't so bad. :D

today, we leanrt about using the keywords of our topics to search for the most accurate adn relevant resources. its not that hard. considering we're all internet kids and stuff. i mean, this IS the internet age. but this lessons kinda really made us advance our already existing knowledge and it really did helped me understand and know how to find much mroe accurate information on the internet then before. at least, now i know the trick to it, rather then getting HUGE chunkc of information and having to sort them out only picking the ones that are most accurate and relevant to your topic.

i mean, from our topic, we had to like list our the words we think are keywords that will help us in researching. AND find variations of those words! well, that part wasnt really hard. i mean, it wasnt even a challenge! all i had to do was just to right click on the keywords in word document and then click on synonyms and a list of varaitions come out. talk about convenience in advanced technology nowadays. its just awesome. so fast and convenient!

NOW, for the hard part, we had to give examples of 3 search facilities. one search engine, one meta search engine and one subject directory. we need to like reaseach on them, well, not really research, but try them out and decide which one we like using best and stating the reasons so on this really huge table that took up like 2 pages!

we then had to evaluate the websites and stuff. oh yea, and compare them, that was a bit troublesome(coming from a lazy person like me) but it really did helped me understand quite a lot i guess. good way of learning. we can keep the practica too for future refernces which is great!

well, its kinda heavy duty lesson considering its a holiday cds. but oh wells, i've learnt stuff so it wasnt a waste of my time or anything! i kinda liked it too :D:D

day 3

well, its day 3 of this holiday cds.

today, we have to like study the 3rd lecture and understand the different purposes of resourses we use on the net.

then, we had this activity in our practical whereby we have to use the website we used to find resources and identify the purpose of the each resources. then we had to give reasons why the particular resource is under that particular purpose.

it was really interesting. it also kinda refreshed my memory on what i had researched on.

we also got to imagine that we had $500 that popped out of nowhere and list down the things we would buy with that amount of money. call me greedy but i was it wasn't just $500. i would love it if it was at least $5000. Hah!

our lecturer also told us that lecture 3 would be tested. Great! now that we know, we needn't ask around like lost confused people on whats gonna come out for the etst. we know where to study from. saves so much time and ease up on the mental strain haha!

but seriously, all we need to do if we dont know anything is to just refer back to the practicals we did in class. simple. quick. convenient. and also very spoon fed. haha. not that i dont enjoy the spoon feeding :DD

well, 12 more days to go, inlcuding the 2 e learning days.

oh yea, i'm 18++ (getting old).

rotting at home is my current hobby. well, not exactly rotting ONLY. i do cook tom yam noodles with egg and read the same book over and over again(the book is AWESOME).

ok, i m forced to blog for the first time in the entire 18++ years of my life.

eh, gotta do research for my UIR on youth violence due to violent video games. i thought it was a interesting topic to research about.

i must say this cds isnt as bad as i thought it would be.

checked out blogs, organisations, forums, and other websites i can get on google to diffuse those knowledge and information into my brain.

we have this practicals to guide us so we wont be like lost lil' kids in this sub so i guess it helps a lot? oh, the lectures too. i thought they were useful, especially for the biblogragphy thing. very troublesome.

oh yea, we're like suppose to form groups and compile all our research together or something. Yea, the final product's really thick. almost as thick as a thin encyclopedia.

in this 15 day cds, there's 2 days of holidays(yay!) where i need not to force my limbs to move so i can get crawl out of my bed and travel a distance so far (that with the same amount of time i'd be in johor) to go to school.

moral of the story: my research links are all in my practicals. so i just need to refer there. yea. thats it. for now.
