day 12

OMGGGG~ its getting closer and closer to the endddd!

and i didnt know, wait correction, i didnt check and was oblivious that there would be a presentation today. i was scared shitless, almost.

fortunately i had my group mate han lin and together we formed the smallest most pathetic group i've ever in seen my years of education and we braced to face the wrath of ms faridah which did not come. i really had no idea what to say but i guess there were some issues about my topic that i feel very strongly about so i guess thats what made the presentation good in the end. ms faridah say good means good la hor? i hope.

but then, during the presentation i really felt i was speaking up for the minority who are often bullied for their skin colour. i mean, whats wrong with being a lil bit more tan then others !?!? just because white chocolate is sweeter then dark chocolate doesnt mean people dont appreciate drak chocolate right??? in fact, too much white chocolate will result in tooth decay! yea! my metophors for the white people and the black people !

so stop blaming video games for youth violnce la! its you racist peopla and the up bringing and definitely how you were being nurtured as a peson in the processs of growing up! its the environment you grow up and in the peopel that you grow up with!

oh oh! i forgot! today we did this discussion bored thing! i think its interesting :D
we dicussed and shared our views on ethics and the internet! which i also had some views to share in the discussion form. i love doing those. freedom of speech feeling comes back to me. haha!

ok! like 4 more days to go!?!?!!? this is fast. faster then i thought it would be! and its another e learning day!! woooo hooooo~ :DD

but we gotta do our wiki thingy. as for me, i m doing on impact of media proliferation in youth violence! intresting topic huh? makes you think quite a bit. ahah

day 10

yay! we talked about the convenience as well as the pros and the cons of youtube today! youtube, one of the best websites EVER.

i really had fun on this one, being a hardcore youtube fan and all. well, i defintely support youtube because not only does it provide a SUPER HUGE variety of shows, dramas, movies, video clip for free. its really a great way to publicise stuff and find good music un knowingly just by linking. Its awesome. its almost reality in there! i mean, there are quarrels, squabbles over the fans of different celebs under their video links and also people who made friends just by replying to comments and all. i can get people to send me stuff through youtube. i mean. its msn, friendster and some movie web for free all in one! what more can you ask for??

we also had to like write down what direction youtube is going to and the imprvements it can make but one i thing i can definitely say is youtube will continue earning big fat bucks! maybe they can just add some segment weherby we need to pay to watch HD videos and movies ? :D

oh yea, we had to go to http://www.uir-rawkz.wetpaint.com/ today and sign up ourselves. we suppose to have like one portion for out group whereby we post up our topic researches and how we feel about them. at first i got like so confused. but then after some really patient guidance from ms faridah, i got and Yay! created on for my group although i have no idea who some of them were. hopefully, they'll go read ole. hehe:DD

my dream holiday

i'd prolly would LOVE to go to the Galapagos Islands. i get to swim with the sharks there! there's gonna be hammerhead!!

OR the Red Sea in Eygpt !! Its like the place for the most diverse shark-viewing experience around. The Ras Mohammed Region, which has varying depths and intricately-structured reefs, hosts over 15 different species of sharks ! OMG !! EXCITING !!

OR EVEN Australia !! well, its known for its shark infested waters! I SO wanna see a great white shark in action !! i wanna get in that cage thingy they put under water to watch the shark eat !!

Or, maybe i should opt for a safer and more girly dream holiday, like SHOPPING SPREE in JAPAN !!! and! i get to see the cherry blossoms! whats more, their branded stuffs are beautiful there. they've got the most unlimited edition branded stuff there! and sushi... omg. lovesssss.

On the other hand, maybe visiting paramids in Eygpt would even be a betetr idea! i mean! i love those mysterious curses they say about the pyramids and coffins and treasures of the kings and queens. whats more the sphinx thingy if thats what you call it is so nice! anyway, global warming is like destroying those beautiful statues! better hurry and see before it becomes so out of shape that i can only watch discovery channel to know what it looks like.

OR Beautiful sinking Venice would be an awesome experience too!

FRIENDSTER/FACEBOOK versus REALITY

strength-convenient

i feel that friendster and facebook can never be able to replace face-to-face interactions. i mean, friendster and facebooks are like there to allow convenience in making friends and enlarging your social circle. like the word convenience, means, not needing to put in much effort to do something which in is case is not needing to put much effort into the friendship or the relationship with your friend you met online through these social network services.

most people build friendship by hanging out with their frineds right? as in through spending quality time together and all. not by posting each other messages in friendster and facebook isn't it? sure, you get to know so much more friends at a faster rate and at the convenience of where ever places that has a computer/laptop and internet connection. but i think getting to know the person face-to-face is much more personal and up close right? no? i mean, when you really want to build a true and real friendship with someone you'd make that effort to meet that person up and really spend time and do stuff with the person right?

i mean, even though the person might be nice and all in friendster or facebook, it can just be a fake image the person is trying to portray right? i mean, some people wanna act cool and all on their profiles, photo angles show the best sides of them, but buiilding relationships means accepting all rights adn wrongs right? i mean , not ALL wrongs la. but at least you know the rights and the wrongs and still love the person mah. no? through these social networking sites, one can never be too sure if the person is what they seem. we know the best sides of people, or the person the people are trying to portay themsleves in these networking sites mah. ska li when you finally think the person is like toyour friend already then you guys meet out he/she turns out to be some weird psycho pervert?? cuz of these, girls get scammed la.

Yay! today we're doing crossword puzzles !! fesh new way to learn throughout this holiday cds! great! i like. fun in learning. :D:D

it wasn't really hard. in fact, it was really interesting. if its too hard, i think we wouldn't have time to finish it anyway. the websites we visited were interesting, well, only for some. haha. the rock and roll one was good. i love the lay out and stuff. the beauty one on the other hand.... is actually quite an annoying website whereby their website is not only not very ncie, its quite hard to look for the information we want. thats like super irritating when we had to keep browsing through the ssame pages over and over again until we finally got what we wanted. hahah

but tits still interesting! :DD

today's lesson was definitely fun for me. i really enjoyed it. like really. seems like arguing IS my passion or something. we had to look at this website called talkingcock.com . at first i was like, what a crude name for a website. but then again, its SO singaporean. well, the website had this many mini mas selamat pics with different hairstykes which one i really thought made him look like paris hilton, is very very amusing. i bet id mr mas finds out who did that he'd blow up his family and house and burn down the entire neighbourhood or something.

well, we were debating in 3 stances. for me, i m the singaporean position which means i just have to be myself. and theres the political stance adn also the foreigners. it was rally fun, debating and stuff on whetehr the website should be banned or whatever. i believe that it was like a channel for singaporeans to have freedom of speech without being put into jail. so yea, why not have it there for the government to see so they can help improve the country. but then again, singaporeans just like to complain, you change the law or don't change it, either way we'd still complain so might as well just let the government decide the best for our country? i mean, singapore's where she is thanks to PAP la. so just leave it to them lo.....

Its now day 7! 1/2 of the cds now! and today's E-LEARNINGGGGGG~!!! wooo!! i dont need to wake up early! i can now hibernate and yea, be lazy for once haha!

BUT we still have to go to the ole discussion board to discuss how the internet has enriched my academic life and comment on advocacy websites.

its was fun being able to write down my views and all. i can fee l a bit of freedom of speech at some point. :D also reading other students' perspective is alo very interesting for me :D
